Number One Scale ModelNumber 1 was built entirely out of recycled bicycle parts. I had dozens of old bike frames and was experimenting with random shapes and uses, looking to reuse the material. I used a tube segmenting method in order to fabricate compound curves for a bike. The experiment ended up looking more like a tree branch than a bike frame but that initial failure gave birth to actual tree designs. Number 1 was the first. |
